In partnership with the Vancouver UX Awards, BrainStation is committed to eliminating barriers and empowering individuals to achieve success in the digital world. To promote and celebrate diversity and inclusion in technology, BrainStation and the Vancouver UX Awards are excited to offer three $2,000 scholarships for certificate courses to underrepresented groups (Indigenous peoples, racialized groups, people with disabilities, women, and LGBTQ+).
"We are very excited to announce this scholarship with a global leader in digital skills training," said Vancouver UX Awards organizer Anthony Hempell. "This is one more step in the UX Awards expanding our mandate from not only celebrating the work done in our community, but helping to grow our community as well."
To be considered for this scholarship, potential candidates must meet enrollment requirements for the certificate course they are applying for, and must be unable to participate in a course due to a financial barrier.
Applications for the scholarships open Wednesday, November 13, 2019 and are reviewed on Thursday, December 5, 2019 with successful applicants contacted by Monday, December 9, 2019.
