Are you ready for the fifth annual VanUX Awards?

The fifth annual Vancouver User Experience Awards are right around the corner. We are excited and hope you are too! Here is some information to help you prepare for the gala.

The VanUX Awards are being hosted at The Imperial for the fourth year in a row. The venue is a repurposed, abandoned Asian movie house located at the crossroads of Gastown and Main Street that gives the awards a grown-up feel while preserving a sense of community. The Imperial is easy to get to by public transit, cab, or walking if you live/work in the area. The address is 319 Main Street, Vancouver.

Doors open at 6:00 pm. We encourage you to arrive early to enjoy awesome food catered by Railtown Cafe (thanks to Clio), drinks (your first one is on us, thanks to Major Tom), and networking. While we aim to keep you full, the food is served in smaller portions. If you feel like you might be ravenous, we recommend grabbing a quick bite before heading to the venue.

Here is a brief outline of the evening:

  • 6:00-7:30 pm: Arrive, mingle, sip a complimentary beverage, and enjoy catering from Railtown Cafe.
  • 7:30pm-9:30 pm: Awards show, there will be a break in the middle to refresh your beverages and run to the washroom.
  • 9:30-late: Socialize, congratulate the winners, and enjoy some late night snacks and dessert.

Dress Code
What’s the dress code you may ask? Well, it’s always fun to dress up, but not necessary if you prefer more casual attire. Our recommendation is to wear what you are comfortable in, keeping in mind that this is Vancouver. A good guideline is to wear something you might wear to a client meeting.

We still have a few tickets left! Tickets will not be sold at the door, so if you were waiting to see if it was going to rain (it’s Vancouver, it probably will), or you forgot—here is your reminder. This event sells out every year, so don’t delay.

We can’t wait to see you on Thursday, November 29, 2018, to reveal the best of the best across our incredibly talented community, and to catch up and meet you all!
